There is a tradition in Langtou Village to show respect to the aged that people send fishes to the aged by the end of the year. Originally the fishes were firstly cut and then distributed to the aged. However, some people complained that the fishes were not evenly cut and they felt unfair. Some suggested that it would be better to boil the fishes, including the flesh and bone. To keep fresh and good taste, people mix the lard and miso (made by the fermentation of soybean, in golden brown. It is used for flavoring) into the fish sauce. It is unexpected that the sauce is very delicious. From then on, Langtou Villagers take use of this dish to worship ancestors or entertain for the aged.
