Lion dancing is the tradition to celebrate the spring festival. It is said that the villages have their own martial clubs since Ming Dynasty. After every year’s autumn harvest, the martial clubs show the martial arts and lion dancing. In the morning of the first day of lunar New Year, the lion dancing team will gather together and make show in front of the Huang Family Ancestral Shrine and temples to worship ancestors. In the 2nd day, the lion dancing team of different villages will visit each other. And in the 3 rd day, the lion dancing team will perform at the adjacent village and towns and the teams from other villages will also come and perform. Many lion dancing team will perform for over ten days. And the firecrackers will be set off to promote the happy festival atmosphere.
